How to use it

Formats and starting numbers
The "{total}" formats automatically fill in the document's page count, so "Page 1 of N" becomes "Page 1 of 24" without any manual counting. Setting a custom start value is useful when your PDF is one section of a larger document — you can begin at 12, for example, so the numbering continues seamlessly. Numbers are drawn as real text in a standard Helvetica font, keeping the file crisp at any zoom level.
